Are you someone who keeps abreast of the latest phones trending in the market? Then you must know that people have been whispering about the iPhone 8 that’s rumored to debut this year. When? Apple is pretty quiet about it, but you can’t stop tongues from wagging. It is believed to come into the open sometime around the 10thanniversary of the iPhone – September. However, it might not be launched as iPhone 8; let’s just go with that for now, considering Apple has not confirmed a name for it.
Everybody’s curious about whatthe next version is likely to be called – 7S, 8 – or something on those lines. Considering it’s going to be a BIG launch for Apple, it could be a tremendous design change or might even break tradition with the naming convention. It could be a strong leap to an “iPhone Pro,” iPhone 7S, or a straightforward iPhone 8 – it could just about anything out of the box to mark the anniversary.
Upbeat screen space and resolution
Rumor has it that the premium version is going to be upbeat with stellar looks – a bigger screen at 5.8 inches, and a curved OLED screen. According to the Wall Street Journal, Apple is working hard asking suppliers to come up with a better screen and pristine resolution than Samsung.
If the above is true, then the mysterious version of the iPhone is going to have a higher resolution than the Quad HD, which is 2560×1440. It’s going to be a lengthy, clear piece of glass – OLED screen; about 600 engineers are huddled to come up with the generation-next 3D sensor. Also, this version of the iPhone is known to have eye sensors, which is pretty forward thinking.
Hidden behind the scenes
As ridiculous as it may sound, the battery and antennas are likely to be hidden around the edges of the screen. Apple has been working its way to coming up with a version made from glass in length and breadth, and this mystery version could be the one.
The part about the edge-to-edge OLED screen – Apple hopes to do away with the top and bottom panels. You won’t find a physical home button; instead, the TouchID fingerprint scanner would be blended in to the interface.
The startling iPhone 8 processor
Some leaked documents state that the iPhone 8 would include an Apple 11 processor. It’s a possibility that the processor may be on any one of two mainboard sections because of the bigger screen and thinner panels.
The age of wireless charging
You don’t have to worry about leaving your charger behind when you’re on the move anymore! The iPhone 8 has gone wireless, which means you don’t need wires. Pretty cool, eh? While the masses were eagerly waiting for the wireless charging with earlier versions, it was obvious that this wasn’t coming any sooner than 2017.
A report on Nikkei states that Foxconn is working on the wireless charging modules for the iPhone 8. In fact, the very reason the switch is being made from metal to glass is to support wireless charging.
Just keep a close watch, and you might just find yourself unraveling more interesting facts and figures on the iPhone 8.
